Help

Everything you need to use MyNextMetro. Installation instructions and legal information are kept on separate pages.

Getting started

  1. Open Settings from the main screen.
  2. Search by stop name, street, route, or Stop ID.
  3. Save the stop as Home, Office, or another custom name.
  4. Select a saved stop to view departures.

Understanding departures

Walking time and catch guidance

When location access is available, MyNextMetro estimates your walk to the stop and compares it with the next departure.

Guidance and boarding-buffer values can be changed in Settings.

Automatic Home or Office selection

For each saved stop, you can enable automatic selection and configure a distance threshold and optional time window. MyNextMetro selects a stop only when the available location and configured rules match.

Map and nearby vehicles

The map shows the selected stop. Use Show My Bus (live) to display available live vehicles for the selected route or stop. Vehicle locations may not be available for every departure.

Transit alerts

When Metro Transit provides a relevant alert, it appears near the departure information. Tap the alert to expand its details or follow the official link when one is available.

Settings

Settings let you manage saved stops, filter routes, change guidance and boarding-buffer values, configure automatic stop selection, and switch between dark and light appearance.

Troubleshooting

No departures

Refresh once, confirm the Stop ID, remove an overly restrictive route filter, and compare with official NexTrip.

Walking time is missing

Allow location permission in the browser and confirm that location services are enabled on the device.

Old information remains visible

Refresh the page. After a major update, closing and reopening the installed app may also help.
